Onyx Legal is a boutique corporate and commercial firm helping small and medium business owners grow with confidence. We’re growing our teams between now and 2030, and we’re looking for a Senior Lawyer to lead and build a team of 3 – 7 people in one of our focus areas.
What you’ll do
- Run your own corporate and commercial files: business structuring, shareholder and partnership agreements, commercial contracts, and business sales and acquisitions
- Lead, mentor and develop lawyers and paralegals in your team
- Build your practice area, working with the principal on growth and strategy
- Grow and deepen client and referral relationships
- Help shape how we use technology to give clients a simpler, faster experience
What you’ll bring
- 7+ years post-admission experience in corporate and commercial law
- Admission, or eligibility for admission, in Queensland
- Experience working in-house or running your own business, so you understand clients’ commercial realities
- An existing referral network. For sustainable growth, we expect this role to bring some work and relationships with it
- Experience leading or supervising a team
- Tech confidence: we’re paperless and cloud-based, using Smokeball and Microsoft 365
